We are offering the following specials on educational classes this year. Sign-ups must be made no less than two weeks in advance of your selected class date.
March 2017 — Saint Patrick’s Day Feast
4 Adults (cooking) / 8 Adults (dining) Cost $200
Round up some friends for our hearth cooking class, and enjoy a dinner for 8! The class has maximum room for 4 people to learn the ins and outs of cooking over a fire. Then, invite 4 more to come and dine in our historic setting. Menu includes roast chicken, sausage and apples, callops, vegetables, home made noodles, hand churned butter, and gingerbread with whipped cream. Dinner serves 8 adults. Beverages will be included, as well.
The cooking portion will begin at 2pm. Dinner will be at 5:30 (apps) and 6pm (sit down)
The class runs anytime up until April 8. Call to schedule 2 weeks in advance.
June 2017 — Summer Camp: Special Family Class offering:
Native American Life (weaving/cooking/traditional tales)
8 children /2 adults Cost $150 (4 hours)
Participants will hear a history about this area’s local native population, pre-European influence. They will learn a drop-spindle method of spinning yarn and do a branch-weaving craft. They will make a traditional snack.
Families may schedule this activity for anytime during June. Call to schedule 2 weeks in advance.
July 2017 — Summer Camp: Special Family Class Offering
Wool to Weaving with loom weaving project
8 children and 2 adults Cost $80 (3 hours)
Each participant will learn the basics of weaving and work to complete a project on a small mechanical loom. Projects will be removed from the loom and taken along home.
