Museum and Library Hours overwinter 2019, by chance or appointment.

Beginning March 9, 2019, Hours will be Wed., Thurs., & Fri., 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and by appointment.

January 2019

11—Story Hour 9:30am/10:45am/1:00pm  Please call to register in advance. $2/child. Adults are free  and should plan to stay.

 

February 2019

7 — Museum resumes regular hours;  W., Th., F., 9:30am-3pm, and by appointment.

23 — Heirloom Seed Swap, WHHM Garden Committee 10am to noon.

23 — Pysanki Egg Decorating Class, 1pm to 3pm.  Cost- $20/ Participant ages 12 to adult.  (Adults should plan to stay with children, either as participants or to assist)

April 2019

13 – Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, 8:30-10:30 am

13 — Natural Egg Dyeing Class, 1pm to 3pm.  Cost $12/ Participant ages 12 to adult.  (Adults should plan to stay with children, either as participants or to assist)

May 2019

1-31 — Quilt Show!  Come visit our annual display of locally made quilts. Time worn antiques through brand new creations. Over 30 quilts are on display throughout the month.  Admission $3. Group rates are available if scheduled in advance. Members and students are free.

June 2019

6– Basket Weaving Class, 2pm-5pm – Learn a traditional basket-weaving technique under the guidance of instructor, Donna Bucher.  Geared to ages 12 and older, participants will make a napkin-style basket from reeds.  Cost: $25.00  Call to register before June 4. Payment is due at registration.

19 –Proddy Class, 1pm-3:30pm – Learn to proddy like a pro!  Proddy is a rug hooking technique that lends itself to many uses. In this class, led by Rebecca Densmore, students 12 years and older will make a sunflower pin from felt strips and wool.  Cost: $15  Please register by June 14.  Payment is due at registration.

July 2019

10 — Basket Weaving Class, 2pm-5pm – Learn a traditional basket-weaving technique under the guidance of instructor, Donna Bucher.  Geared to ages 12 and older, participants will make a napkin-style basket from reeds.  Cost: $25.00  Call to register before July 5. Payment is due at registration.

11 — Beginner’s Loom Weaving Class, noon-4pm – A great class for folks who are interested in learning weaving basics.  Geared to ages 12 and older, participants will learn how to warp a loom (prepare it for weaving) and then try some basic patterns using a floor loom.  Class size is limited to 4 people, so call early to register! Cost: $30

August 2019

19-24 — Look for us at the E-Town Fair!

30 — Opening night of the fall exhibit:  Elizabethtown During the Great Depression.  Exhibit runs through September 20.

September 2019

September 30-October 4, The Annual 3rd Grade Walking Tour

8 & 9 Elizabethtown Heritage Craft Show  Friday, 4pm-8pm, Saturday 9am-3pm  Locally made arts and crafts show.  Come see the talent that lives in our community! Unique shopping! Food! Raffles! Fun! Admission $2 or food bank contribution. Museum members and students are free. admission is free after noon on Saturday.
