Winters Heritage House Museum and the Seibert Library exist to support the Elizabethtown Community.
There are lots of reasons to visit the museum and library;
Look over the current exhibit; We regularly change our parlor exhibit, so stop in for a fun peek at our latest display.
Take an impromptu museum tour; Free for members, and just a $3 donation for non-members. Hear the fascinating history of Elizabethtown while exploring our 1760s houses!
Stop by to do some research (or just to chat with our research librarians); Use of our library is free for members or just a $5/day research assistance fee for non-members. Sort out the branches of your family tree, research the house you live in, find histories on businesses, schools or events that took place in our community. There’s a lot to learn about Elizabethtown!
Shop in our museum store; A best kept secret! Our store offers locally handmade items, books by local authors, American Heritage Chocolate (made in Elizabethtown at Mars), and lots of other fun gifts and items.
About our hours: Please understand that we are a volunteer-run museum. Because of this, we work best on a by-appointment basis for larger groups or for specific needs, such as genealogy research. You are very welcome to drop in during our regular hours, but if these don’t suit your schedule, please call and we’ll be happy to meet you at a more convenient time. We love to share this place!
The Museum and Seibert Library are open by appointment, year round.
March through November, we are regularly open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Please call ahead if you plan to do research, or would like a tour for more than 6 people, so we can be sure that staff is on hand to assist you.
